VERT Vehicle Road Tyre Interaction project.

Full Integrated and Physical Model for Handling Behaviour Prediction in Potentially Dangerous Situations.


The objective of the VERT-project is to develop a new and global model for the full road-tyre-vehicle-driver system simulation and taking account the most dangerous situations. Model has to be physical, which means that the parameters will have a physical background. The model will give a better understanding of interaction between road-tyre-vehicle and therefore real help to design a safe EU transport system.
HUT Automotive main tasks in the VERT project were the tyre measurements on the snow and ice surfaces, the modelling of the snow and the validation of the vehicle model for snow and ice.

Pagnanelli Risk Solutions Ltd has given its contribution to the study of this project in its initial stage
